Koda Kumi - Dejavu

And to think that I actually thought that the chances of me getting my albums that I bought off YesAsia was quite slim but no! The 2 albums I ordered had finally arrived! In this post, I shall feature Koda Kumi's latest studio album Dejavu.

Dejavu has been out for quite some time already. In fact, it was out in Japan on March 2, 2011 and it's already May right now! That's because I didn't get the Japanese version because it's so costly (but I slightly regret it now because the first press from CDJapan came with a calendar but anyway~) and because I wanted the Code 3 DVD so that my PS3 can read it.

Haven't got the chance to listen to it but I shall post the pictures of this album here anyway but before that...

Look at what I got this time from YesAsia - Boo from Super Mario! This little toy with wheels is a free gift that YesAsia gave me when I purchased 2 or more Japanese CDs from their online store. For more information, do visit my previous blog via the "reads" section on the right of this blog on my review of CDJapan and YesAsia. More details there!!

The Hong Kong press CD+2DVD press of Koda Kumi's latest studio album - Dejavu! Loving the cover because of all the details and props. What I don't really like about Hong Kong presses though are that the stickers are not in Japanese but other than that, all the rest of the things are more or less the same. Besides, it doesn't matter what version you get so long as you support the artiste by purchasing LEGAL, ORIGINAL goods.

The back of the album. There's the CD featuring 15 tracks including "Lollipop" from her "Gossip Candy" single, "POP DIVA" from her well, "POP DIVA" single and of course, "好きで、好きで、好きで。" It also comes with the promotional video DVD, just like most Japanese albums and the first press version comes with a Live concert - the Dream music park concert! Don't think I will have the time to watch these DVDs though but when I do, I'll definitely have something to keep myself busy!

The album without the plastic covering and obi. In case you're wondering (because you haven't been to my blog before), I took all of these pictures by myself and edited them by myself so do not take them and claim them as your own or use them on your sites without permission. Once, I had someone use my photo on a forum and good thing, people weren't stupid to track it back to my blog. Good~ Free publicity but I don't really need that, thank you very much.

When you open up the cover, you are greeted with 3 discs - CD on the left and DVDs on the right. Oh how I wish I can pause time right now to go watch all these DVDs but sadly, time is ticking and there's nothing I can do about it. :( Stupid army - time waster!

Close up on the CD - design inspired by a grandfather clock. Clever, no?

This is the lyric booklet! I say~ The cover of the booklet is good enough to of an album art itself (probably like an instrumental album). I wonder where they found that clock though because it's so cool!

Koda Kumi gracing the first pages of the lyric booklet with the track lists of all the discs printed on the right. Somehow, her hair and her look reminds me of ayumi's "Rock 'n' Roll Circus" photo shoots because the artistic direction was also the London feel - UK flag, red hat, whatnots. Coincidence? Hmmmm~ More suspicious though~ Or maybe avex has something up its sleeves... Even having said that though, Kumi looks good here!!

Slightly controversial photo of her kissing a statue. Well, it isn't the first time we see her kissing something/someone now, right? :) Hey~ At least she is brave okay - to express herself!

Speaking of controversial, do you know that Lady Gaga's new song "Judas" is banned in Singapore?! That angers me! It's just a song - a form of artistic output and honestly, I don't see what's so offensive about that song that it has to be banned in Singapore. Banned because of religious thingies? OUTRAGEOUS I SAY! They better not censor any part of her album when it's released because I would be damn pissed if they did! Stupid MDA.

Koda Kumi looking like a doll. Get her album to view the other gorgeous photos inside! It's a pity she did not release a photo album alongside with this album because there are so many things that she can do with these props.

Well, that's all I have for Koda Kumi's album - Dejavu. Overall, I like the photos and I believe (I hope) that the album is good because of the good singles that she released prior to this production. Plus, the theme seems very English so I'm having high expectations for the songs. Anyhow, anything is better than UNIVERSE so... :P On top of that, the release of the album with the concert is clever because it makes the album even more worth the money.

Be sure to stay tuned for the next album that came along with this shipment - Do As Infinity's 8th studio album, conveniently titled "EIGHT". The blog post should be out next week (unless I'm happy, I might push forward the publishing date. :D)

For human rights & equality!!

Petition against Uganda's "Kill the Gay" Law

No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian or transgendered life
I'm on the right track baby, I was born to survive
-Lady Gaga "Born This Way"

Early in the morning and the world has to give me this kind of problems to headache about - this retarded "Kill the Gay" law in Uganda. Anyway, before I start ranting, I urge everyone reading this post to go click on the link above (shall put another one at the end of this post in case y'all are too lazy to scroll up) and spend less than 2 minutes just filling in your name, email address, contact number to help repel this law.

For more information, visit the website as well - of course right?

Honestly, I'm sick and tired of these discrimination because look - what's the freakin' point? To me, it's the human rights because I feel that I'm already deprived of it at where I stay and what I'm doing and I don't want others to be going through this oppression. Speaking of oppression, the heat in Singapore's really bad, no? Good thing it rained a little bit just now and I'm enjoying the cool air whilst it lasts.

Back to the topic. Other than the fact that "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga is a fabulous song, it speaks volume against discrimination. If people are born that way, then LET THEM BE! You're not God or some celestial being that can change the way they were created. If you don't like them, let them be! It's not as though they are posing any form of threats!

Come on~ We're already in a modern civilization (correct me if Uganda is still not one and that's why, I infer, that they are passing this mindless bill out) and everyone should be given a chance to speak and to have opinions. Just because someone else's personal feelings and opinions are different from yours doesn't mean you can KILL them! Is that fair?!

Which comes to my other point - if you're al-so-mighty, they why do you feel THREATENED? Yes! You're just like a mouse in the rathole! Cowardly!

So, if you like what I said against people who are against human rights and you want to have a VOICE for yourself, then you should petition against this law. But please, I urge you to do it quick because they don't have much time left - these innocent people who were born UNIQUE do not have much time left. We need the world to be their supporters - to be with them in this fight.

For lazy people, here's the link again - http://www.allout.org/en/petition/uganda

Sometimes, I feel like I should go be a human rights activist because I'm so frustrated against restrictions on people's lifestyles but again, I want to be a photographer and I don't want anything to do with politics but I'll do whatever is in my capabilities to help - like blogging about this incident. It's the least I can do and I hope you feel the same way too.

"If you were one of them who are going to be sentenced to death for
being born the way you are, how would you feel?"

IS IT FAIR?

F.I.R. - Atlantis 亞特蘭提斯

10th post on "word shutter" is dedicated to F.I.R's 6th studio album - Atlantis (Mandarin title: 亞特蘭提斯, roughly pronounced as a te lan di si). I think that this album might be F.I.R's best packaged album so far and I have photos (as usual) to prove it!

Are you ready to enter Atlantis, the legendary island?

Finally! Something of manageable size to photograph - F.I.R's new album! I hope the photos in this entry are better than the previous unboxes. It comes in this rectangular slipcase packaging with the band members Ian, Faye and Real gracing the cover. When I first saw this album at CD-rama, I was like "HUH?! F.I.R. released a new album?!" I couldn't really read the Chinese words to see if it's a new album but when I came home to check, I found out it is! Got this at HMV Somerset with the HMV vouchers my cousins and friends gave me. :)

The back of the album. The theme of this album is very "ocean" and very "pirate" mixed with very mystical symbols. Interesting theme. Again, I can't understand what the Chinese word means. Heck~ I don't even know how to read some of the titles of the album but no worries~ I'll find out eventually... In case you want to know what I used to support the CD, it's a box of shampoo. Never saw that coming right? :P

As previously mentioned, the album is released in a slipcase and I thought that there will be a regular CD casing inside but no~ It's another identical-looking digipak album! They could have used an alternate cover art for the digipak though to make things more interesting. Or, they can learn from ayumi by making several covers so people will collect 'em all! By the way, they are selling the autographed album on YesAsia if you're interested.

The back of the digipak is slightly less wordy but I still don't understand the words...

In between the digipak are two booklets. Correction - one booklet. You'll see what I mean later. One of them is obviously the lyric sheet while the other is a photo booklet. Cool, no? :)

Maybe they heard my prayers for a better packaging as opposed to their previous album where you slip the CD into a cardboard slipcase - not my favorite packaging, and decided to go for this digipak packaging. I think that this is even more effective because the CD is well protected! Click here for my take on the previous album's packaging (with photos, of course).

A Victorian inspired designed of the artistes photo on the left side of the digipak. See the words "Chapter VI"? Think they feel that this album is their 6th chapter in the Chinese music industry and I hope they continue making fabulous music.

The minimalistic design on the CD resting in the jewel case.

Now, let's take a look at the photo book shall we? :) Here's the artistes interpretation of the mystical Atlantis on the cover of the booklet. Looks like a Greek architecture with some modern buildings and a Singapore flyer rising from the ocean...

One of the pages in the photo book featuring Faye in this flow-y white dress - graceful!

More photos of the band members - here's Real.

Lead vocalist - Faye. I think she's really successful in the music industry simply because her voice is so unique plus she never had to show too much skin to attract people because her beauty comes from inside out. She always look calm and in control in her photos - really pretty~

Probably the brain of the band - Ian. The photo book features the artistes and these are just some of the photos. Get the album if you want to see more!! I love the smoky hair effect on the left, by the way.

So typical F.I.R.!! But this works for them really well~

This is my favorite part of the photo book - these Chinese words which I can read! No~ They are not my favorite because I can read them but because they are really interesting... These words roughly translates to...

In life...
The 10 most important treasures...
Have you discovered them?

Now this short message tells a lot about this album. Atlantis, the place which some think is fictional while some think is real. The island of mystery. The island that many, until today, are still searching for. So from what I interpret, is this album about searching for something? The different things in life??

And apparently, the track list, coincidentally 10 tracks, holds the key. Each track in this album represents something that the band, or maybe what they hope the listeners, will be searching for. Such creativity and depth! Each song speaks of something but unfortunately, I can't really understand everything but I shall attempt to translate what the album is seeking for...

Innocence, Hope, Love, Passion, Adventure,
Vision???, Forgiveness, Friendship, Courage, Confidence

Isn't this album beautiful even without listening to the songs? I had listened to the album once but wasn't paying attention to it but I sounds quite good to me. Heck~ Anything with such depth is definitely going to rock, no?

This is the lyric sheet - not booklet. Nothing really interesting about it but when you open it up...

The map to Atlantis! The underside of the map are the lyrics to the album. I took a picture of it but it's so uninteresting and plain and badly taken - main reason why I'm not posting it, so I'm not posting it here. I was pleasantly surprised that they really made this album such an experience to go through. It may be a very simple packaging but to me, it's simplicity speaks volume.

Albums with such depth are hard to come by these days - especially when a lot of artistes are just bothered about looking nice and not really bothering about the creative process of creating music. The meaning of music... Maybe they should seek for it again in Atlantis.

Now you know why I think this is F.I.R.'s best looking album so far? :)

ayumi hamasaki - ayu-mi-x 7 LIMITED COMPLETE BOX SET

And it's finally time... *drum rolls*
to blog about ayumi hamasaki's latest remix albums!
ayu-mi-x 7!!

Well, before I start, some brief "history" of this album. This album was produced by none other than avex legendary producer, max matsuura, to commemorate ayumi hamasaki's 50th single "L". There was this moment where ayumi and max were tweeting on twitter, saying something that it's been awhile since the release of a remix album and I presume that moment was more or less the seed for this production.

Anyway, what's so special about these 4 remix albums is that they come in different styles (just like how they did it for ayu-mi-x 2) featuring all 50 A-sides of her 50 singles so far. Furthermore, if you got the LIMITED COMPLETE BOX like I did, they will give you a disc featuring some of the remixes from these 4 albums compiled into a non-stop mix. Pretty cool stuff!!

Let's start the ball rollin'!

Please forgive me if the pictures are not as nice because it was really challenging to take photos of such a large album! Plus, it was the same night I took photos of FEMME FATALE so I was extremely tired. Just so you know, this box set is even bigger than Britney Spears' FEMME FATALE limited edition album - it's basically a LP sized box! It consists of all four remix albums (which I will be featuring later on) as well as 13 LP-sized posters of her previous remix album arts plus the bonus non-stop mix CD.

In case you want a closer view of the sticker on the album. It roughly translates to what I previous said above.

The back of the big box is designed with the CMYK colors and on the plastic cover is the track list of all the CDs in this box set.

The close up of the bonus disc's track list. By the way, I saw these albums (not the limited edition one though unfortunately) on sale in Singapore's HMV and each of them were going for nearly S$55!! If you multiply that by 4, that would be a whooping S$220 for the entire collection! Isn't that freakin' expensive?! Good thing I got mine online because that's around the price I pay for this limited edition goodness.

Unlike the limited edition of "Love songs" - click to check out my post on this fantastic album!), ayu-mi-x 7 does not have the oversized obi but here's the spine if you're wondering how it looks like. I think it's a better idea not to have the oversized obi anyway because it looks really awkward.

TA DA!! All for remix albums placed neatly in the box, protected by the soft sponge packaging! Smells like "Love songs" too! From top left clockwise...

ayu-mi-x 7 -version HOUSE-
ayu-mi-x 7 -version Acoustic Orchestra-
ayu-mi-x 7 presents ayu trance 4
ayu-mi-x 7 presents ayu-ro-mix 4

And the CD resting on top of the remix albums is the non-stop remix bonus disc that came along in this box set. I will be talking more about the rest of the albums in further detail later on. By the way, some of the pictures are quite badly taken (at least that's how I feel it) so please forgive me. :(

The obis of the albums. Clever creative direction of using CMYK don't you think? :)

Let's start with ayu-mi-x 7 -version Acoustic Orchestra- because you know, I prefer the Acoustic Orchestra versions of ayumi's songs. In fact, I can buy a single just for a single track if it was an acoustic version.

This album basically features some of her songs but with an acoustic orchestra twist (duh!). BUT BUT! It's the first time "evolution" got made into an orchestra version and I have to say, I love it! It's not as good as her Tour of Secret live performance where she did an acoustic opening but it's good anyway. Too bad the DJs just took her older songs and worked on the vocal tracks as opposed to ayumi singing them all over again.

Some other songs in this album includes WHATEVER, AUDIENCE, BLUE BIRD, You were..., kanariya and more. For the full track list, google it because I'm too lazy to type everything out. :P Plus, I do reviews of packagings and songs, not a storage of album track lists.

ayu-mi-x 7 -version HOUSE- is basically a typical remix album. Well, honestly, I can't say I like ayu-mi-x 7 better in general as compared to ayu-mi-x 6 -GOLD- / -SILVER- because the remixes in this album basically sound very similar. Maybe that's the direction they want to head in because they want to make the whole album sound as cohesive and as seamless as possible but that kills re-listening value in my opinion.

But having said that, -version HOUSE- does contain some good remixes like "Dearest" and "crossroad". It's a pity the rest of the tracks sound a little unmemorable though. That's one of the disadvantages of remixed songs - they kinda lose their initial charm; unless they are remixed really nicely. Other tracks in this album consists of TO BE, fairyland, For My Dear..., Voyage, Virgin Road and more.

I was pleasantly surprised by ayu-mi-x 7 presents ayu-ro-mix 4 because it sounds a lot better than -version HOUSE- in the sense that at least the songs are more distinguishable. I didn't really enjoy the previous ayu-ro-mixes because they sound too "clubbish" and there was more music than there was singing. Fortunately, ayu-mi-x 7 focuses a lot on the singing and less of mindless clubbing music.

Like -version HOUSE-, the album is created to be seamless but at least the songs are still uniquely different from each another. Well, not totally different but at least you can tell that it doesn't sound the same. The songs on this album are more of the uplifting summer ones like Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL, glitter, SURREAL, Fly high and more.

And the fourth album - ayu-mi-x 7 presents ayu trance 4. It's somewhat like ayu-mi-x 4 but... Honestly, I don't know what's the difference between trance and euromix because they sound like the same style to me. Like ayu-mi-x 4, this album is also not bad. The difference is probably that this album contains more ballads-transformed-trance. Personally, I think this cover looks the nicest - maybe because it's blue. :P

Some of the songs included in this album are Far away, MOON, Rule, monochrome, vogue, Greatful days and more. Weird that they picked Greatful days instead of "ourselves" considering that "ourselves" is the first track. They also picked HANABI over "independent" - odd~ But considering that both of the singles are tripe A-sides, I guess it's fine then.

As if thinking that the listeners are blind, they have to print the track list really big.

The four CDs laid out nicely - colorful~

Another photo...

No. This is not the box - this is the slipcase for the bonus disc. Well, if you followed my blogs long enough, you would have known that something against slipcases...

The track list of the bonus CD - ayu-mi-x 7 Special Non-Stop Mix. Basically, this disc consists of some of the songs from the 4 other albums and the songs are shortened and edited to make the whole album flow smoothly.

Well well~ Bet they heard my complaints regarding slipcases and avex is really clever. Instead of slipping the CD straight into the cardboard, they slipped the disc into this protective casing before stuffing the disc into the slipcase. More protection for the disc! But it puzzles me why they can't just make a proper box for this CD though.

And now, the POSTERS! I love posters - even though I don't put them on my wall. It's for the bragging rights you know you know? :) Anyway, this collection come with 13 LP-sized posters featuring the cover arts of her previous ayu-mi-x works and what can I say? They are simply GORGEOUS! Pardon the bad placement of posters in this photo because there was no space.

The posters are so pretty! I love the SILVER and GOLD version the best even though they are heavily edited. Her eyes are smiling~

More posters for your viewing pleasure!!

Overall, I think this box set is worth the money simply because getting all 4 different albums separately will probably cost more. I don't think the bonus disc is much to "wow" about considering that it reuses tracks. If only the bonus disc really consists of more remixed songs then I guess that this buy would be even more worthwhile.

But I think the main selling point of this box set are the posters because they are so pretty and the good packaging. Honestly, I don't think the music this time round is really fantastic but oh well~ It's ayumi!! Anything about her is fantastic, no? :D

So, if you are thinking of getting this album, you probably want to pick the one with the songs that you like better if you are not the collector kind like myself. Would probably save more money that way. Or alternatively, you can wait till YesAsia releases the Hong Kong press would be so cheaper than the Japan press ones if you want to collect 'em all~

DISCLAIMER: Long, wordy and BITCHY post

When was the last time I wrote a ranting post? I think quite long ago because there hasn't been like HUGE events that happened in my life that's really worth ranting about. So today, I shall rant because I'm worth it...

Anyway, I'm not at home right now so there won't be any photos in this entry; my camera's not with me. But be sure to stay tuned for next week's update as I'll bring you ayumi hamasaki's ayu-mi-x 7 LIMITED COMPLETE BOX box packaging and my opinions on the new remix albums.

Back to the topic. Today, I did something good (and bad, but it depends on how you see it) - I went to the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) to be a volunteer along with Jessica and her friends, Vera and Alvin. What?! I very kind one okay so don't be judging me!! I would say it was enjoyable (the first part) but things got really sour and fierce.

Anyway, if you are not interested in reading the goody-2-shoes-Broy, scroll down to "CASE OF THE MISSING SUSHI" for the bitch me. More juicy stuff!!

Let's talk about the good stuff first. So we woke up really early in the morning, at around 8:30am. One of those rare moments where Vera actually wakes up earlier than us. I had 2 cups of Milo because there was extras and we walked over to the hospital. Yes. It's that near my house.

Met up with Jessica and Jia Jia!! Long time since I've seen Jia Jia! She told me that she wants to become a fashion photographer too! Ain't that cool? I think the last time I saw this apparel design graduand was when I was still working at URS. Now ain't that a long time??

Reached IMH and was split up into smaller groups. Was really surprised that the turned out was so good - there were lots of volunteers! We went to the group where we were tasked to guide the old folks to do some art and craft. Actually, it was just coloring but oh well...

I tell you!! Old folks are hard to guide, especially when they are coloring. They tend to be so engrossed with their art pieces that they ignore you so you have to work really hard to engage with them. What we did was to offer the folks the color pencils to encourage them to change their pencils. Otherwise, they will color the whole piece of paper in a single color - not aesthetically pleasing, yes?

BUT BUT! They were really fun to work with when you finally break through their personal barriers. Their smiles are so adorable! I mean, isn't that what you seek for when you volunteer? To make a difference in someone's life even if it's just for a smile?

Besides coloring, there was a group of people who went dancing and singing with the folks. They were so active I was a little afraid that I might be dragged to dance with them (You won't want that to happen! Everyone will turn blind if I did~!). Vera and the rest got dragged to the dance floor though. A pity my camera was kept away in my bag because I didn't know about the regulations of photography in the place so better be safe than sorry.

When it was tea time, we fed the folks. Erm... They had like cakes with kuey and meat all thrown in the same plate - not very appetizing if you asked me but they enjoyed it so...

Yeap. Basically, that's all I want to talk about the volunteering session because typing on this keyboard isn't as comfortable as my own. :P Overall, it was enjoyable but sadly, I don't think I want to go back there again - at least not under this organization. Here comes the free bitch, baby!

 CASE OF THE MISSING SUSHI
and the old hag that doesn't get it

 What happened:
Jessica lost her sushi. Well, big deal right but NO! She made those sushi all by herself and woke up damn early in the morning so that she can cook the rice, prepare the ingredients and roll the maki so that others can enjoy her masterpiece. I tried one and it was really great but they were GONE! Jessica's intention was to share her sushi with the old folks as well as her friends - especially her friends because she wants them to have a first taste of her cooking. Isn't she sweet?

BUT! Disaster struck and her sushi was taken away! So here's what exactly happened - as accurately as I can put it in words. After being split into groups at the lobby, we were brought up to a ward upstairs to interact with the folks. We were instructed to leave our bag in one of the check up rooms and we complied. Not wanting her sushi to be taken away, Jessica used my bag as well as hers to cover up the container of goodness but before that, she placed the container inside a red plastic bag and tied it up. After that, we went off to do our stuff.

When we were done, we went back to the room to grab our stuff but alas! Jessica's sushi disappeared into thin air and no one had a clue where the hell they went! Mysterious isn't it? And Jessica was really upset because she spent so much effort to make those sushi.

The investigation:

We tried to search around, duh! But of course, we couldn't find it (otherwise, I wouldn't even bother writing this post right?) We searched the ward but couldn't find it. We asked around and no other volunteers had any clue where the sushi disappeared to. Peculiar peculiar. So, we went downstairs because we were told that food will be provided for the volunteers.

Went downstairs and apparently, the food was provided by the other volunteers. Such nice people. But we were more concerned about the sushi. We went to search the buffet table to see if someone mistakenly took the sushi thinking that it was part of the spread but to no avail. Jessica was so upset she had to go to the washroom to let go of her emotions. Honestly, I had no idea how to react because it was so sudden and it really hurts me to see my friend so upset and slightly mad that her hard work was taken from her without permission.

When she was more collected, we went to ask another volunteer - dressed in white and her hair looks as though a typhoon just passed Buangkok regarding the sushi. Well, I appreciate her help in asking the people there if they had seen the sushi. YES! They did!

The uncle said he remember seeing the old folks at Level 5 eating those sushi Jessica made. He had no idea where the sushi came from so we didn't manage to find out who took the sushi from Level 6 to Level 5. We weren't exactly pleased because they did not ask Jessica's permission for the sushi. Furthermore, the lady in white and the uncle simply laughed the matter away as though it wasn't serious.

But it was damn serious to me.

They thought that we were so concerned about the sushi because those sushi were not meant for them. In fact, they were meant for the folks but that's not the main point. They laughed the matter off saying that it's a good thing the old folks had the sushi. That, I know but not asking before taking someone else's belongings? That's a big NO NO!! They initially thought that the sushi was meant for Jessica's mom that's why we were so concerned but that's not the point as well.

The argument:

Here comes this aunty then - apparently the organizer. How should I describe her? Badly dyed hair, short, grumpy and didn't leave me a good impression on first look because she was yelling at the volunteers and yes, she's ageist (YES! There's actually such a word called ageist!) meaning she thinks she's greater than anyone who has lesser white hair than she does (that's why the bad dye job).

She knows that we were jolly well upset so she came over to see what the din was about. So we told her that the sushi went missing and like a typical adult she is, she kinda brushed it off as something trivial. At that moment, Jessica went emotionally unstable again and then the aunty wasn't exactly being helpful by saying that she didn't mind not having the sushi (COME ON! It's not for you in the first place, bitch!) and that Jessica did a greater deed by "offering" the sushi to the old people.

Correction. Her sushi were TAKEN away from her WITHOUT her bloody permission. Jessica wants her friends to have some of the sushi first before she personally hand out the sushi to the others but she was robbed of that chance. Who's fault? No one knows...

Then the aunty defended and defended and I grew pisser and pisser. Until I finally said...

"What if it was something more precious/more expensive?"
something along that line...

And that's when I opened up that can of worms. The aunty thought I was accusing her volunteers of stealing. Actually, YES! I could have told her that the act of taking someone else's things prior asking for permission is lawfully theft but I didn't go there because I wasn't that mean, yet.

And there so goes saying that she "forgives" me for what I said because I'm young (well, that's one of those times where I feel that my little boy look gives me a really huge disadvantage - during quarrels) and that my words were hurtful. Hello! What about the person who lost her stuff?

Then I said something like what if the thing was something more important than sushi? She defended and said that the sushi were meant for the old folks (Hello? Where did you get that idea from? No one told you we made sushi in the first place) and that it was a greater deed to let the old folks have it. She didn't get it.

MAIN POINT: Taking people things without permission
HER POINT: The sushi should be given to the old folks because it's more meaningful

YES!! I know that the old folks should get the sushi but that's not my point. My point is that they should not just take anyone's stuff without having the courtesy of asking first! Then, she made up this defend saying that the sushi was left along with the food for the old folks.

RECALL: We hid the sushi with our bags and tied up the plastic bag. First of all, they should not know that there were sushi inside because if they were righteous, they should not touch other people's things, let alone undo the plastic bag in the first place. Secondly, the stuff were not placed with the food. Thirdly, she cooked up this defend that she was kind enough to open the container so that the sushi won't go bad.

QUESTION: HOW THE BLOODY HELL DID YOU KNOW WHERE WE KEPT THE SUSHI and WHO THE HELL WOULD OPEN SOMEONE ELSE'S LUNCH BOXES WITH THE NOTION THAT THE FOOD MIGHT GET BAD?! Do you go around the food courts to open packet of food to prevent them from going bad? Come on aunty! What are you? Senile?!

EVIDENCE: The "crime" was done intentionally but the intention might not be that evil but this aunty sure is. I KNOW that it's a good deed to give the food to the old folks but what's my main point, my dear readers? Plus, she's not sure what she's talking about. Stupidity has a limit okay?

So when she accused us for placing our things around without care, the girls went like "WE DID!!" Stupid aunty.

And she went on the rant and rant and rant about what I said.

But again, let's put it this way. If the sushi was INDEED for Jessica's mother, how is she going to explain to her mom? How is she going to go prepare another set of sushi again? What if the sushi is something of huge significant to Jessica? Then isn't this "theft' more serious? Luckily, it was meant for the old folks so it's not that bad BUT for the sake of argument, it's for something else. Then this aunty should be ashamed of herself.

For the sake of argument again, what if the sushi was something more important, say my camera? They can just "borrow" my camera to take photos without my permission if they can take the sushi away. That's partially the point I was driving at - what if it was something IMPORTANT.

And (GOSH I regret not bringing this point up) - What if the sushi were contaminated or they were for lab rats? What if the old folks ate something contaminated and it wasn't for them. I'm not trying to say that the sushi were bad but what if someone brought something inedible and was mistakenly given to the innocent old folks? Now that would be shit hits the fan...

Did I mention that she threw me this question and asked me to imagine myself in the shoes of these folks? That I only get to get some good food every fortnight and how grateful I would be. Again, she went out of point because it's not the bloody kind deed - it's the act of "theft"!

Throughout the whole argument, she was unapologetic and extremely stubborn to see things in our light because we indeed saw hers. I mean, the least you could do was to APOLOGIZE for taking someone else's things without asking and for not being able to give it back to her. NO! She insisted that we were wrong and she is right because we were YOUNGSTERS. Fine. Screw you freakin' bitch!

We, especially me, got so sick and tired of arguing with her I walked away - blood boiling like never before. I can't imagine how Jessica can still tell them that she will make more sushi next time for the rest of them. I believe she's just being nice because Jessica was also sick and tired of listening to that old cow. Jessica Jessica... Sometimes she's too kind hearted...

The resolution:

We left IMH madder (pun intended) than we were. Heck. I stormed down the walkway with @#$%^&^%$# by my mouth. No, not vulgarities but the angst and the negative energy. It's been so long I've argued with someone so seriously. I'm never going back under that organization to volunteer because instead of being appreciative, they were defensive and air-headed.

I think I showed my "true colors" to Jessica's friends who had only seen me for the first time today and I apologize for being so mean but I couldn't help watch my friend get bullied. That's me - the Aries came out today and I didn't regret a single bit. I hope the aunty wakes up her bloody idea because if she goes this way, no one would want to volunteer ever again.

Bitch.

I feel so much better after airing all this anger out. Writing is one of the best forms of anger relief for me. I don't care how people view me because so long as I stand for what I believe is right, I will fight for it. Even if you are my best friend and you feel that I did it wrong, I don't care. Life is all about fighting for what you believe in, no?

Sometimes, I feel like I should be a lawyer because I like to do these kind of mindless arguments but again, I don't want to study so oh well...

Time to stop this entry. It's getting long... But before I end...

What would you do if you were in my shoes?
