spinning mist

poem,
spinning mist
spinning mist
You sit
there – watching, talking
but not as wanting, protective
of what you say you love forever
but it’s now or never
but not as wanting, protective
of what you say you love forever
but it’s now or never
As I fall
into the manhole
waiting for him to let me go
But as he grabs on
you don’t even say no
waiting for him to let me go
But as he grabs on
you don’t even say no
I’m not
as strong as I thought to be
It’s
coming to get me
Please hold onto me
You said you love me
Don’t let the wrong one get me
Please hold onto me
You said you love me
Don’t let the wrong one get me
The
monster’s there – hiding, waiting
ever so cunning and deceiving
With that pitiful looking self
it’s looking to touch me
ever so cunning and deceiving
With that pitiful looking self
it’s looking to touch me
As that
gravity pulls in
I scream at my own sins
Will you come and hold on
and help me defeat him?
I scream at my own sins
Will you come and hold on
and help me defeat him?
You make
me stronger than I thought I would be
It’s
coming to get me
Will you hold onto me?
You said you love me
Don’t let the wrong one get me
Will you hold onto me?
You said you love me
Don’t let the wrong one get me
Please please
please
Don’t let the wrong one get me
Don’t let the wrong one get me

Inspired by some of the personal things that I'm going through in my life right now. My first original piece since the last two, dated April 6 (LITTLE MONSTER / You Never). Honestly, I feel that this could actually be made into a song... A rock ballad, perhaps?
